For 6 years we’ve battled Type 1 diabetes and we’ve never forgotten the devastating feeling on April 29, 2005 when we were told our lives would change forever. Over the years we’ve made videos for ourselves and the JDRF. We’ve raised over $20,000 in our walk campaigns. We’ve run our Facebook page and Twitter feeds. We’ve been a part of our local support group. In 2011 we decided that money and maintaining an online presence wasn’t enough anymore.
Now we’re starting our own outreach program. We want to be there for other people who have received that crushing diagnoses. We want to help other families who just want to vent, even if they’ve been living with Type 1 for years. We want to find ways to give back to all of those people who have felt what we’ve felt.
We believe we have something to offer. With 6 years of living with this disease, 2 different insulin regimens, fundraising experience, etc, we can be there for you or anyone else you know is going through this. We have a mother, a father, an older & younger sibling, and Hayley’s perspective herself. In short, we think we can be there for you and your family.
